cable got slower over a couple of days

i have road runner and it usually is very fast, but for the past few days, i got remarkably slower. almost 3 times slower. i cant seem to find the problem. i tried pushing the repair button, but it is still the same. can someone help me? thanks.

Are you sure the problem is with the cable service and not your PC?

Traceroutes would be helpful. In Windows, go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt. Type 'tracert www.daniweb.com' into it and post the results.

Well, certainly nothing unusual about that. It would suggest that me that there is something on your computer that's slowing it down. Have you shut down all unnecessary programs, done a virus and spyware check, and perhaps even done a defrag on your HD?
