Mysterious FTP Issues on Mac

I have an Intel Mac Book Pro and when i first got it, the FTP worked perfectly. I was using the built-in application provided by Dreamweaver and I had no problems whatsoever. However, about a month ago, I upgraded to CS4 and it stopped working. I thought it had something to do with Dreamweaver, so I downloaded Filezilla and tried it on there. That didn't work, so now I think it might have to do with the network, but I have no idea where to start. I am at college and using there connection with a wireless router that I brought. Its WEP encrypted.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,

iamlevicious

Try and change between Active and Passive mode FTP. Some firewalls and network setups (NAT is a usual culprit) block certain mode.
