logging problems and keyboard failure

Whenever I turn on the computer, it automaticlly gives me an error saying that I can't log on (I am the admin.) Also, if I hit any key everything freezes and I have to force shutdown to do anything. The only way that I can log on is by hitting f8 when I restart, (it says keyboard failure, but still goes to the menu screen) I go to last good known configurations, log into the guest account for atleast 45 seconds, then switch to my account (without logging out of guest) and I have to use the onscreen keyboard. There were no problems with any of these things before so I don't know what to do.

What "onscreen keyboard" are you referring to?

Given everything you've described, I'd try a different keyboard first; it sound's like yours might be getting flaky.

Please do not contact me by email or PM for help. We're all volunteers here, and only have so much free time to dedicate to our efforts.

However, if I've been working on a thread with you already, and seem to have "forgotten" your thread, please do send me a message. I try not to let things slip through the cracks, but it does happen sometimes.
