Perl and Facebook

So I've been trying to see if I can write a Facebook app, that uses Perl on my side, and interfaces with people who install the app on their Facebook page.

But it's so hard to see if this exists! The Facebook dox, well I am lazy, but they don't seem decent, or organized enough.

And of course I've Googled. But lately that's become such an excersice in futilitity.

So if anyone knows of a decent site that covers this, I would very much appreciate it.

Many thanks!

Sorry, I was vague. I meant a site that better documents how to connect the two.

i.e. Everyday at 3am send all people who subscribed to the app a Facebook notification of X,

If you googled and couldn't find anything then I don't know what else to suggest.
