Please help me out in making the program to play the music file in c.
i did tried to search a lot on web but couldnt get any clue about it.

Agreed. Just a wild guess, if you're using Windows, check out DirectSound (msdn, google search will serve you well). But this of course would come after substantial knowledge and experience with the language.

i ahve windowsw xp as the os and turbo C compiler

1. Get a compiler which is actually compatible with the OS you're using.

Read on what you need to install Visual Studio 2008 - it's free and vastly superior to the fossil you're using at the moment.

2. Read this

If that isn't to your taste, then keep looking around the rest of the multimedia API on MSDN
