Does anyone know of a compiler that will let you utilize WPF in Linux?
It is practically impossible to teach good programming style to students that have had prior exposure to Basic; as potential programmers they are mentally mutilated beyond hope of regeneration.

Sorry for the late response, but since there is still no answer, I decided to add it as google brought me directly to this question...

The short answer is No, there is not. Read on for another brief description:

Linux, Mono team stated they had little to no plans to work on WPF at the moment, instead concentrating on the more core components. Of course, I read this before WPF was released for windows... so I'm assuming this was due to a lack of resources and a matter of priority. I would assume that if another OS project sprang forth, it may happen, but as of now, the official answer is not supported.

I will interject, though:

If Moonlight has been released for Linux, that's a subset of WPF. Perhaps they will put some work into WPF...
