losing drivers

When I load the system drivers and update the windows xp pro I am prompted to restart but when I do I lose al my drivers I just installed. I have an Asus mobo P5Q SE2 I am stumped! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,you should be stumped , i haven't seen that in my 10 yrs!

when do you get prompted to restart ,after the windows update or after the driver install ??
if you haven't already tried ,try this way ,windows updates first, reboot ,and then install drivers ,

I have tried them both ways and still have failure. I sent a letter to the Asus company but no response as of yet

That asus software update software is pretty crap best is just to download the actual files from thier ftp server
