Hi. Sorry that my first post here is asking for help.
Anyways yesterday after using youtube and facebook fine all day and nothing else I closed down internet and left my computer for 5 minutes. When I returned I had "prunnet.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close". Then after various programs shut down, it disabled my anti-virus program and shut down my computer. Today I managed to get back on and did a Malwarebytes scan which found 51 infections however my old anti-virus (avg) still won't open.
I just want to check if I've managed to get rid of everything/most of it.
Here's my hijackthis.exe log:

Cohe,
As of 6:30 P.M. EST Dec. 21,, 2008 in the U.S. the latest database verion is 1528. I am sure it will update again soon but the database you keep posting this evening is not the one shown on their latest updates at the moment. This poster DOES need to do updates but be sure to give correct database number or they will think they have a problem with the program.

It's going ok. Had 1 pop up before when doing the second malwarebytes scan but then i deleted the 4 more infected things.
I still can't install AVG, might try a different virus program.
However compared to yesterday when the computer just reset itself 15 seconds after loading windows each time, it's doing ok now. Not crashing or resetting and working at a normal speed.
I just hope it's pretty much sorted.

Alright, can you do the following:
Please download ComboFix by sUBs from HERE or HERE
Note:
Do not mouse-click combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.
CF disconnects your machine from the internet. The connection is automatically restored before CF completes its run. If CF runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be manually restored by restarting your machine.
Thanks,
Cohen
Please download ComboFix by sUBs from HERE or HERE
- You must download it to and run it from your Desktop
- Physically disconnect from the internet.
- Now STOP all your monitoring programs (Antivirus/Antispyware, Guards and Shields) as they could easily interfere with ComboFix.
- Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
- When finished, it will produce a log. Please save that log to post in your next reply along with a fresh HJT log
