I recently found a trojan.vundo on my computer and dowoaded a tool called fixvundo from the Symantec wbsite. I followed the instructions and it said thatit had been successfully removed. I wanted to make sure So I did a full system scan last night and when I checked back on it later there were 3 IE pages open to websites that I had never been too. Also there were popups for antivirus programs. So I got HijackThis and here is my log:

I reckon you'll need to put this onto the Viruses/Spyware forum if you want this dealt with.

It's 90% Vundo oriented and you'll get a good idea of how to interpret your HijackThis log if one of the gurus doesn't help you out 'cos it's Chrimbo.

I posted an alternative method for dealing with this - you'll need to search for the term "Virtunonde", which I mis-spelt originally to assist with the search. I wrote this method up on 3rd Sep-07 after experiencing this trojan myself. It's worth a read just to help you understand what you're dealing with.

Finally, the Symantec tool is useless as you'll see from the Virus/Spyware forum. Once a trojan is established, a single program won't remove it.
