Splitting Files ., Making them fit to a CD

Given a bigger file, is there any free program that may split a music file down so that I can break it onto 2 seperate CDs?

i think u can do it with a program called virtualdub. http://www.virtualdub.org/
last i checked it was free.
i sed i think cauz ive only used it for splitting video files. so yeh it shuld for sure split audio
