Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knows how to send a conformation SMS to a visitors mobile?

What i'm trying to create is a call back feature, so far i can send an email with the visitors details to my address and send them a conformation email too, but what i'd like to do is send the visitor a conformation text message saying i have recieved their details and will be ringing them shortly.

Does anyone know how to do this? If someone would be kind enough to take the time to point me in the direction of a good tutorial or maybe have some sample code i could play aroud with i would be very grateful

I think you need to use a 3rd party to send the sms and there is usually a monthly fee. How about having them select their cell provider which will add the prefix to their phone number in a hidden variable then sending them an email. it will come to the phone as an sms.

Unfortunatly that seems to be a US page, and hasn't got the UK networks on, but at least i know what i'm looking for.

Shame it's chargable though, mybe there's a way to get it through my ISP? I'll have to have a ganders...

Well you would need some way to get on the cell network, I think it's called an sms gateway if you want to try and google that.
