MVC Architecture

Hi All
This is my first post on DaniWeb. I'm new to JSPs and my requirement is that I have to pull data from MySQL database and display it on the browser upon a click of a button by the user. I have come to know that one should use MVC for this type of requirements. And I have absolutely no idea about MVC architecture.

How should I go ahead from here? Can anyone give me some sample code for MVC so that I can understand and work on it? Or is there any other way for this? Any help would be much appreciated...!

Thanks & Regards
Swapna Gouri
