Hi,

You said that the computers can ping one another when they are not on the same network, but they cannot ping one-another when they are?

Is this a function of XP Pro security?

I have a similar problem that you described. I used to be able to print from my XP home computer to the printer attached to the Pro computer, but now I can't. They cannot ping one another. They had different workgroup names, so I tried changing them. I was planning to create a new workgroup so that they could communicate. Now from what you said, that won't help.

Did you ever figure out why it didn't work?

Thanks,
B.
