2009 begins with a bang!The world is about to witness a very historical moment as president-elect Barack Obama assumes the reins, becoming America's first black president. After all the inauguration madness settles, it will be time to get down to business.

Considering the hostility that sometimes rears its ugly head in American politics, I am very worried that he steps into the White House at a very bad time, he will work under tremendous pressure. Personally, I don't think he can achieve what he promises to do; get Republicans and Democrats to work together and all that.

Can he deliver?

Well, it took George Bush eight years to make such an ungodly mess, so it will take Barack Obama and his team a little while to fix it. The first things you may see is that the torture of prisoners is gone, and the US will treat other countries like partners and not like door mats.

The President is not a miracle worker -- although I think that was one of his campaign promises All presidential-hopefuls promise things in their campaigns that they can't possibly fullfill, or that they later decide are unworkable. And I wouldn't be supprised if Obama is the same.

I think he will......

He promised us Change.

He begins that by stacking his cabinet and senior positions with recycled Clinton era political hacks.

Turning the Oval Office into a tropical greenhouse, as he tells us we must cut back on energy usage.

Q: How do you get a Democrat politician to pay all his taxes?

A: Appoint him to a cabinet position.

You creepy conservatives give us 8 years of sh*t with Bush; you complain because we talked trash about Bush and didn't give him a chance; now you talk trash about our president.

Let's not forget Jack Abramoff - he is still dragging down Repube/conservatives - Fraser Verrusio is just the most recent; so far he seems to have tainted most of the Republican party.
You guys got so much to be proud of.

Saving America is our job, not the president's.
Half of the voters fell for the republicans scare tactics or voted for social causes that are not relevant to America's future.
The democrats failed to put up a decent candidate, so even a moron like Bush was able to flimflam the public, twice.
Get educated. Vote with your brain. Write your representative.

We cannot judge Obama for now since he is yet to show anything that might say otherwise, the one thing we can do now, is just to believe in him and have faith in him that he can do it. That he can save America.
