I presume you're using windows xp.
press windows+pause|break or click start - control panel, then open the system properties.
Click on system restore and click 'disable system restore'. Ok out of that window then restart your computer into safe mode - this can be acheived by holding F8 after your bios POST message disappears.
Run the trend again, and it should beable to deal with the above.
Reboot into windows and snag adaware and spybot - both can be found in my mirror: http://www.wefixtech.co.uk/tech/ or by a quick google search.
Update their definitions then run a full system scan.
