This position is an architect/lead developer working with both in-house and outsource team developing an application on cakePHP
The company is a young startup developing an On-demand software application, for its existing and as well as projected client base. Currently the product is on its second generation development path. The person should be able to work on re-architecting the application to include new features. Potential to develop web-service based application integrating to popular on demand services.
The development will be done on LAMP with cakePHP as the framework. The coding includes AJAX, PHP and XHTML
Strong knowledge in technology with hands on development experience with cakePHP and other MVC framework is important.

-6 years experience developing in a production LAMP environment
Extensive knowledge of scalable PHP5 development and MVC frameworks, including CakePHP (at least 2 yrs)
Experience using MySQL database and solid SQL skills
Adequate knowledge in UI web standards, including JavaScript, CSS and XHTML
Strong technical competence in technology, site architecture, large scalable systems
Administration of source management tools, including CVS and Subversion
Expert knowledge in database design, database management, backup/recovery and reporting
Competency working in both a Linux and Windows development environment
Experience with the entire software life-cycle * analysis, design, implementation, quality assurance, deployment, and maintenance
Pluses:
Building Ajax UI components using EXTJS and PHP
Capable of building XML-based web services/SOAP implementation
Experience with force.com or Visualforce development
Experience on Agile/SCRUM environment
