Howto: "understanding a big framework ".

Firstly, this is my first "project" involving code written by others, on top of which no experience dealing with any framework. Given this information, how do i understand a framework. Also, Very little documentation is available ATM.

I tried to use a top down approach i end up accomplishing very little ( visiting abstract definitions multiple times hasn't really helped ).

I have been using the "stuck for 15 days trying to understand and then code" approach with very little success. Any advice on increasing my output will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Find the guys who created the framework and ask them, that is usually what i do in such occasions.
Due to lack of freedom of speech, i no longer post on this website.

They aren't accessible. Any tips on how to understand the "non library" like behavior.
