I am ready to start using MSDE.
When I run the setup for MSDE it tells me I need to set the password. I have read the "help" on the MS web site but it is still not clear to me how I setup the password or anything else so I can get started.
I have found 3rd party Client tools that I can get a free trial. Do I need to get the Client tools BEFORE running the MSDE setup program??

Here is how to set it up.
http://www.asp.net/msde/default.aspx?tabindex=0&tabid=1
Then you must go into services and start
MSSQLSERVER
SQLSERVERAGENT
Make sure both are on automatic.
The get MSDE Manager free here:
http://www.whitebearconsulting.com/Utilities.htm
andyou are ready to go.
