Online Certifications, Is it worth it?
![]() |
Alright, I was getting bored earlier so I started a search, one quite simple on the fact of the matter. My question is...... I am thinking about taking an C++ and PHP&MySQL course online to get my online certification for them, maybe later down the line I'll probably use the Business Management one, but after the above 2, Imma take the personal SAT course and see what I can do in it?
What do ya'll think, will the certifications really make me more of a chance of getting a job or something like that with such knowledge. I already know what I want to do after I get my PHP done, I MAY, QUOTE ME NOT, I MAY, try and do a team hunt, find like 15-20-25 people and start my own forums, not that we'd match anybody like phpBB or vBulletin but it would be really cool if we got up to the level.
So actually 2 questions, what do you think, is the certification worth the $75.00 (2 month) class and give me some ideas on what you'd like to see on a forum that is not on one now (myself, I am thinking about maybe building in a webcam system in the one Imma make and maybe a store to buy things, both can be disabled and not show up.) REALLY, if i dont do that, imma write some phpBB mods.
After that imma work on my c++ a bit and also, does anybody know if there is such a way you can actually remember enough PHP that you can actually type it out like some people do with HTML and know what functions work with each other, etc.
