Plshelp! sims2 autorun wont work!

Okay so i dont know why the autorun for sims 2 wont work.
ive gone to my computer and tried every way possible to install it
but a screen keeps popping up saying electronic arts autorun has stopped working.
i dont know what to do!? maybe its vista? the last laptop i had, had
vista and it worked just fine. so whats so different with my new one?
someone please help me!!

vista comes with 32 bit and 64 bit operating system..,

go to run type "msinfo32" without quotes...

at the system type option...
if it displays x86 based pc then vista is 32bit
if it displays x64 based pc then vista is 64bit

you better check on-line or ask technical support from Electronic Arts for the software compatibility of your software...

it might not be compatible with vista...

TRY MY SUGGESTIONS AT YOUR OWN RISK
Do other alternative first..cheap and easy ways..
Don't take out money from your pocket when you're not so sure that it will solve the problem..
