Looking for Web proxy in Java

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a light-weighted Web proxy in Java which can enhance the performance of my web server. I want it to be written in Java so that it can be used on any platform. I want to place the Web proxy between a specific Web server and end browsers (I want to place the Web proxy at server side along with my Web server), so that it can enhance the performance of one of my specific Web server (i.e. one Web server + one Web proxy). Can anyone recommend a lighted-weighted one?

I am also wondering how to configure my Web server and the Web proxy so that it can enhance the performance of one specific Web server.

Thanks in advance,
George
