Why don’t ask permission before putting cookies on computer? ...

Alot of sites (Like this one) require cookies to hold your login session!!

If you clear your cookies for example,close your browser and then come back here,your browser will lose sync with your current "session" and you will have to re-login to re-sync things.. (Clearing your cookies will only drop you from the site,it doesnt YOU OUT of your current session)
