This link http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis_sfx.exe that dlh6213 supplied in his earlier post is for a version of hijackthis that actually installs itself to the Program Files folder.
Somehow your's ended up in a Temp folder.

Hi Carol, I hate to say this, but hijackthis is still in a temp folder -- but, since there doesn't appear to be anything bad in your log anyway, we can get that straightend out later.

Can you answer the question DMR asked earlier about wmedia.exe:
"At exactly what point do you get the error about the missing wmedia.exe file?"

Also, did the link I gave to Norton help with that error message?

hi there:
the link you gave to me for the Norton anti-virus, it didn't help, that message pop-up every single time i open Norton "live update" it drives me nuts....

about the missing Media.exe file, I had no idea. I is a computer that i use for my work in my office, i set a account for "Carol" and it has a passwork protected. there is a another account for " Gary" who works for us, he log on to computer sometimes whils I am off. He log-on to internet some website, called xxx.com some chat room, (i prefer not to say) and i guess he turned off the anti-virus system, so next morning when i turned on computer that message "Media.exe" missing pop-up infront my face.....
