Hi every1 ........ i am new to socket programming and TCP/IP

V have to do a package in it........

Suggest me some topics and some reference books which would b helpfull for socket programming............

some1 plz help

It has always been a good repository of code. If you are learning C also look at C# in .NET. I used to program in assembler and C for the 10 years of my career. C++ for the next 10, and now I just use C# for fun.

Some would disagree, I really liked the original K&R book on C programming because it was brief. You can then find plenty of examples of Berkely sockets to complement that knowledge.
