Hi,

I have been trying to get rid of bundled trojans on my PC and the associated spyware that came with them. I have been successful to a large degree but I am stuck on 3 things.

The 1st isa registry key associated with E2give, see below HJT log:

The one I am refering to is O2 - BHO: (no name) - {3643ABC2-21BF-46B9-B230-F247DB0C6FD6} - (no file)

I have tried deleting it with adaware, both in normal and safemode. I've also tried deleting manually, both in normal and safemode but ever time I reboot it comes back to haunt me.

2 other things are still showing in a virus scan:

C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\SAHAgent_.exe - file
C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\SahHtml_.exe - file

I have searched (using advanced search options) for both these files in safemode with /show hidden files etc. checked in folder options
but nothing will show.

Has anyone got any ideas as to how I can get rid of these final few objects?

HJT should be able to fix your BHO; remember to close all windows other then HJT before hitting the Fix button.

Before you follow those instructions, do these two things:

If you plan to edit the Registry, you should make a backup before making any changes. At the top of the Registry window, click on the Registry menu, click Export Registry File. In the Export range panel, click All, then save your registry as Backup.

thanks for the swift responce.

I followed the removal instructions on the page to the letter and found none of what was mentioned on there except 2 files:

v.dat and
vg.dat

I couldn't kill the running procceses because for some reason I am missing the top part of task manager i.e. all the tabs and all the file/option buttons etc.
any ideas how I can get that running properly again or where I can get another manager from?

I don't think I am going to be successful unles I can stop that BHO coming back every time I reboot. I just checked it again(with everything closed), reboted and it is still there when I run HJT

I noticed that you are runing HJT v1.99.

It comes with an extra added bonus. Before clicking scan, click 'Config...' on the bottom right. From there, select 'Misc Tools' and then 'Open Process Manager'

You get the same info (if not more) that you would get with your task manager.
Kill the processes from there and then try the deletes again.
