WEP password cracking project in C#

I'm a senior student in computer science and i'm doing a project on WEP password cracking, i found a pretty good paper on how that can be done but i reached a point that i can't understand! after i get the first character of the password, how do i get the rest of the password? i understood that we get the first character by XORing the first byte of the plaintext (which is the SNAP header) with the first byte of the encrypted text, so what's the next step? how do i get the rest of the password? am i missing something? please i need help....
