1st, learn what you can do by yourself. Doing a search with google, for example. Open your Browser, enter "www.google.com" and then enter terms like 'isass.exe removal' and start the search. One of the results would be:

If you do not succeed with the informations in this link, post here again.

Hello again, Ive read through the link you posted. With little success. when i run my hijackthis log, quite a lot of isass.exe's appear......which one should i delete?

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NvMsnW] C:\WINDOWS\system32\Isass.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Isass] C:\WINDOWS\system32\Isass.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Anti] C:\WINDOWS\system32\Isass.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [NvMsnW] C:\WINDOWS\system32\Isass.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Isass] C:\WINDOWS\system32\Isass.exe

As you've probably guessed from the name....i'm pretty new to all this, but i've tried my anti virus etc......

Kind regards, CN

These entries are all concerning the same file as you can see (Windows/system32/Isass.exe). Delte these entries with HijackThis. And delete the isass.exe file too. NOT the Lsass.exe.

Here's some info on isass.exe:
http://www.liutilities.com/products/...library/isass/

Make sure it's gone:

Reboot into Safe Mode

Open Windows Explorer, go to Tools, and in the Folder Options, select "Show hidden files and folders," and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files."

Delete this highlighted file (if found):

C:\WINDOWS\system32\isass.exe

Reboot normally
