I have a Windows Media Player problem

Hi, I have Windows media player 10 and want to play DVDs on it. About a week ago I was able to play them without any problem at all, but now when I play them I hear no sound. I have tried many different DVDs and i have tried many things with the volume controls and do not have the volume turned down. I would appriceate it greatly if you could help or tell me how to get help.
