Hi, I thought I would give linux a try. Is there a free version that is similar to linspire that I can download online? Also, can I set-up windows xp and linux with that MS Virtual PC?

The two that I prefer are SimplyMEPIS and PCLinuxOS. Both are fantastic and show what great strides Linux has made in the past year. What's more is both are free!

I have DLed SimplyMepis and burned a cd. I can boot it fine from the CD but I can't install it. It is not showing any hda drives. I am using MS Virtual PC and have heard that other people install it without a problem..
