Javascript Loop problem

I am trying to write a piece of javascript so that numbers appear on the page as follows:

1
1 2
1 2 3
1 2 3 4
1 2 3 4 5
1 2 3 4 5 6
etc,etc up until 100

Have been scratching my head over this for weeks.

Has anyone any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much, your help is MUCH appreciated.The solution you have devised is very different from the things I have been trying. Is there generally on answer in javascript or are there more than one ways of skinning a cat as it were?
