IDE / Serial ATA

I just bought a Soltek SL-K8TPro-939. I also bought a new serial ATA hard drive. In my old computer I had an 80gb ide bought a few months ago. I put both in the new computer and the Motherboard recognizes the serial ATA but does not see the IDE drive. Does anyone know how to get the mother board to recognize both drives? Is it even possible to do this?

Go into your BIOS' setup and make sure that any setting related to detecting/enabling IDE are turned on. If the motherboard has IDE connectors on it but doesn't see the drive, it's probably just a question enabling some such setting.

Also- the IDE drive is jumpered (Master/Slave) correctly, yes?
