Just reinstalled Xp on my C drive. On startup both Hard drives are found but the drive on Ide 2 does not show up in My Computer or in device manager?
The Maxtor 40G drive is quite new and as only been used for backup.
Any help Please

Has the hard drive been formatted? Can you see it in the BIOS?

If the C drive is formatted with FAT32 and the second hard drive is formatted with NTFS, then you won't see the second drive in My Computer when you boot up. Not that this is your problem, but I just fixed one with that exact problem today... maybe it's the same thing.
