Losing Domain Connection

Hi, After successfully logging into the domain (2000 Server). An hour or two later when I try to access one of the shared drives on the server, I get this message.

An error occurred while reconnecting I:to \\fscarton\driv
Microsoft Windows Network : The local device name is already in use.
This connection has not been restored.

Anybody have any ideas?

I had that problem on a W2K server awhile back and I found an article on MS's support site that said it was fixed by installing SP3 on the server. Installing SP3 worked for me. What SP are you up to?

We were using SP1. I was recently hired to maintain these servers, and I had know idea that they hadn't been updated on a regular basis.
I'd like to thank you for your advice. It worked like a charm. We are now running SP4.
