Hello, im having a problem with my CD drive not functioning properly.
I'm trying to upgrade Windows 98 to 2000, but the installer says no compatible CD drive is detected, and there's not enough room to copy the files to the HD.

I checked and it says it's running in MS-DOS compatibility mode, which im figuring is why it isn't working.
It's a unkown model, and I just looked up the S/N to find the firmware.

Also, I tried installing and ignoring the message, it actually works fine, except for when it starts detecting hardware, it then freezes and stops responding. I then have to format and install Win 98 again.

Any help is greatly apreciated.
