Nice and attractive site but it is loading too slow due to the images and animations, try to reduce it..

have also a number of pages that are image heavy
unusual for the visually impaired,
but my mum looks at them,
family pictures over 16000km et al
to speed up the aparent load time I put an image load script between the </body>and</html> tags,
in the body

blank.jpg is a 1px square blank image
savefile.php is a force download script

You have an attractive header other than the search boxes and book marks. I would put them under the navigation and your header will look great.
