when tring to load a program the error message of C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. the system file is not sutable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft windows applications.
It says on the case it is compattable with Windows XP. I have been tring to load programs like print work shop. i hae also tried 2 other programs that are sort of like that and they won't work either.
Could anyone tell me why?

The usual cause of that error (and the solution) is described in the following link:

Give that a try and let us know how it goes.
