Surely you don't mean the manipulating of link popularity by spamming Facebook and Twitter with every anchor link within the scope of your personal and client web sites, from time to time of course. Is this what you really think constitutes SEO? Is this the search engine optimisation you suggest we all should employ?

The search engines will spider your site on their own; there is no reason for you to submit the site on the search engines. At least, many people do not do that.

I agree with your post. SEO is really the most cost-effective method of advertising. You can do the job yourself without spending a single dime. All you need to have is a lot of patience and hardwork.

We need Seo to promote our business, you don't have to spend money from it. If you know how the proper way of promoting a site, spamming and other manipulating tactics will not occur.

I think there's no need to submit your site to huge list of search engines. Submitting to top 3 SE's which are Google, Yahoo and MSN are enough. Just focus on building backlinks so that you site will gain popularity.

Everybody targeting Google for the visibility & business from their web resource in its result pages. SEO is all about using those tactics and changes for getting it(website) in search engine rankings.
