How can I use the Checkboxes into a Tree Control

How can I use the Checkboxes of a Tree Control in Visual C++ 6, I add it in properties but I don't know how to program de detection of the click over the checkbox. The idea is that the user can make multiple selections, in order to store every item checked in an array.
