Removal of "Home Search Assistant", "Search Extender", & "Shopping Wizard"

I think that the presence of the "Home Search Assistant", "Search Extender", & "Shopping Wizard" are causing my AIM to crash. I haven't noticed it causing problems anywhere else. Any ideas?

To remove trojans there is a tool which needs to be downloaded and run.
1. Please download Stinger and save it to your desktop
2. Double-click on the stinger.exe file and open the tool
3. Choose your entire hard drive to scan.
4. Choose Scan Now
5. Stinger will fix anything that it finds
6. Click the File menu and select Save report to file
7. Post the log file results here in this thread.

2. Click "Scan now, it's free".
It'll take a few minutes to download (especially with a dialup connection), so be patient. When it's down:
1. Select all available drives.
2. Check(tick) "Auto Clean".
3. Click "Scan".
When it completes, post back the full filename of any files that cannot be cleaned or deleted.

Download CWShredder 2 from here. Run it and press the *fix,* not scan and allow it to clean the infection. Close all browser and explorer windows before hitting the fix button.

Download, unzip to your desktop About:Buster and run it, then:
1. Click "Update".

I went through all the steps except the TrendMicro scan. The site seems to only be compatible with IE and I use FireFox because IE has given me so much trouble in the past. Hopefully this cleaned things up a bit.
I went through all the steps except the TrendMicro scan. The site seems to only be compatible with IE and I use FireFox because IE has given me so much trouble in the past. I tried with IE and it gave me an error alert and application termination message. Other than that I think I hit everything else in your steps.

Unzip to your desktop, run it, and then:
1. Click "Check For Update"
(If an update isn't available, skip to step 4)

3. When the new version has been downloaded, click "Save"
4. Click "Fix"
If it asks you to verify any files to be deleted, either do a Google search for it/them or ask us here before deleting.
Go to Add/Remove Programs in your Control Panel and remove (if found):
