Let's look for, and delete, any program segments(prefetches) that might be present, and are associated with the 'problems' we're trying to remove from this system. To do this, let's:

1) Click "Start | Search", then search for each of these program's base name(s), in all files and folders:

explorer.exe*

2) Then if any are found in the 'prefetch' folder, delete them.

Look closely, since the 'base' name will have a bunch of random numbers and letters attached to it.

===============

Go to Add/Remove programs and remove(uninstall) the following, if present:

Bullseye Networks
Internet Optimizer

The above could appear anywhere within the entry. Be careful not to remove any personal or system software.

===============

Run HiJackThis then:

1. Click "Config..."
2. Click "Misc Tools"
3. Click "Open Process manager"

-

Next, while holding down the CTRL key, locate (if present) and click on (highlight) each of the following:

C:\WINDOWS\inetdata\winlogon.exe
C:\WINDOWS\inetdata\explorer.exe
C:\temp\salm.exe
C:\Program Files\Internet Optimizer\optimize.exe

Now double-check and make sure that only those item(s) above are highlighted, then click "Kill process". Now, click "Refresh", check again, and repeat this step if any remain.
===============

Now, let's open a command prompt and unregister the dll(s) we're going to remove, by entering the following:

regsvr32 /u nem220.dll
regsvr32 /u 2.00.00.dll

It's ok, if these aren't found or 'error' out. If you want, just copy and paste the individual lines to the command prompt to save on the typing.

===============

Run HiJackThis and click "Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

Download, install and keep updated, Spywareblaster from www.javacoolsoftware.com to help keep your system clean.
Once installed check for updates. If there are any, they will be automatically installed. Once done you then need to enable all protection and close the program.
Make sure that you update it on a regular basis.

Download the Pocket KillBox
Unzip the file to your desktop.
Run Pocket Killbox and paste the full file path of each of the below files in the box and click on Standard File Kill and End Explorer Shell While Killing File. Click on the button with the red circle and an X in the middle after you enter each file (see the files below).

C:\WINDOWS\inetdata\winlogon.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\sysprinter.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\dstart4.exe

Reboot afterwards if the files are successfully deleted.

If all files are not deleted, do not reboot yet. Run Pocket Killbox again and paste the full file path in the box and click on Delete on Reboot. Next click on the button with the red circle and an X in the middle. You will get a message saying "File with be deleted on next reboot, Process and Reboot now?" Click "Yes" to reboot only after the last file you enter.

Scan with hijackthis and tick the boxes next to all the following entries, then close all browser and explorer windows and hit the "Fix checked" button.

It's looking a lot better! Are you still having problems?

There are a few more things to clean up; close all browser windows, scan with HJT, and have it fix the following entries:

F3 - REG:win.ini: run=C:\WINDOWS\inetdata\winlogon.exe
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5321E378-FFAD-4999-8C62-03CA8155F0B3} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Alcmtr] ALCMTR.EXE

If you don't recognize this IP address as belonging to your ISP, have HJT fix these entries as well:
O16 - DPF: {14904A9A-051A-1BE6-83A0-2604321927D1} - http://69.50.182.94/1/rdgUS994.exe
O16 - DPF: {428FA2B5-B816-2E57-7260-5232628C14A2} - http://69.50.182.94/1/rdgUS994.exe

Remember to close all windows other than HJT before hitting the Fix button.

Reboot, close any open browser windows, scan with HJT, and post a new log please.
