I just read an article that said that in a study conducted by the Online Publishers Association (OPA) and comScore Networks, U.S. residents spent more than $500 million on online dating and personals in 2007, the second largest segment of "paid content" on the Web, and that those numbers would grow exponentially in coming years as the Baby Boomers and Gen X are relying more and more on online dating. This begs the question, how many industries are tapping into this area for their SEO and SEM efforts? Has anyone worked with any customers marketing to this area of the web and what have the results been?

From the backlinks alone for companies selling products or services that would play into this market, the SEO implications could be big.
