Browsers intermittently go offline

Hi!
My problem is periodically I'll be browsing using either IE or Mozilla Fire Fox and it will suddenly give me an error page. I still have access to Ventrilo and other online games i.e. World of Warcraft.
Once I reboot my computer though all is okay. My husband is also connected through the same wireless connection and he does NOT have these issues.

Anyone? This problem is really affecting me as I'm taking an online class which I have to do quizzes online which are not allowed to be started and then stopped. I already stopped once during a quiz because the browser went offline.

Practically a Posting Shark
Check and update your Wireless drivers (including Wireless LAN).
What is your system's make and model. The reason I ask this is that some OEM's (HP in particular) just love to pop in their own Wireless management utilities, which can create more problems that they actually rectify
