Ive recently bought a new laptop made by acer. I am haing trouble getting the inbuilt microphone to work, ive tried testing it through skype which failed. I have also tried going through the windows troubleshooting application with no success, when I tried the test through windows it didnt register any sound. Im pretty sure it is not muted as have looked through the volume controls.
Any ideas would be much appreciated!!

Control Panel/ Sounds/ Mic settings....check to make sure it is not muted.
