Computer is saying that no device or modem is installed! When I put the modem in message saying " has found new hardware" and searches for drivers. Installs modem and drivers but when I try to connect or detect modem say no  modem installed. I'm a bit green when it comes to computers so please, please anything will be greatly helpful! OH! When I go to Control Pan. It say that modem installed in com2, and no modem in com1. Is there a way to change that?

You need to provide more information..
What operating system?

If control panel shows a modem on com 2 great,
there is no need to move it to com 1, com 1 is probably an active port on your motherboard.

To give specific advice about setting up the dialer we need the OS
