Hello all,

I am based in Cape Town, South Africa, 37 years old, and apart from an evolving interest in web design and development, my other passion is photography...

I guess I'm a bit of a nobody when it comes to design and development, but what I do know, I have been learning by myself and in total isolation from communication with others...

I am getting more and more comfortable with html and css, And with a twist of fate I have taken on a huge web project for my sisters new business... I am in way over my head, but I am eager (did I say eager?) to learn... I am now just starting my hand on database creation and need to learn all I can about php and javascript (I think this is what I need for the project)...

Anyway, I am working with Wordpress, and feel and hope that I can accomplish all I need on it's platform...

I guess the main warning I have to put out here is that my terminology sucks, and that I am not sure exactly which elements I will need to master first... Which means that my first few posts may seem completely unformulated and out of place...

But I am trying to get as much info as I can together, in order to do my best to ask the right questions in the right places...

And I sure hope that my journey here will take me to new places, and allow me in the future to become a helpful addition to this community (which is the first webmaster forum I am joining...)
