I can't find the right driver for my built in dial up modem. I need it because I'm trying to install Mandriva 10 with a network install. Are dial up modems even supported for installation?

Would a USB modem work? I'm trying that now.

Update: The USB modem(a winmodem anyway) isn't detected.

Most Modems are what as known as "Winmodems" - and as such, corners are cut when the device drivers are written, and thus very unlikely to work with Linux, I gave up and bought a netgear ADSL modem router, which works fine.
