FIC Cedar Laptop

Hi as you can probably see I am a newbie so hello to everyone!!

My question,

Has anyone ever heard of or know anything about this laptop,

FIC (first international computer) Model: Cedar

I had it given to me a few weeks back it's about 1998 or 1999 maybe 2000

Any help would be appreciated

Well you could visit the manufacturer: http://www.pcg.fic.com.tw/marketing/

This is the only reference I can find to a cedar model though: http://www.mdsbattery.co.uk/departme....asp?Brand=FIC
So is it working/dead?

Just tried FIC website couldn't find anything, the battery looks the same as mine. the machine seems to be non existant.

It is not working it will turn on but will not boot the cd is accessed and the hard disk spins and there is nothing from any of the video outputs
(screen monitor out or tv out) but if you hold a key for long enough you can make it beep.

I don't know what's wrong with it??
