I'm a part time shareware programmer (hoping that one day I can become full time). Currently I'm working on the next release of my flagship product, Timesheets MTS. This will be version 1.4.7 and the 30th (!!!) release since the product was released 13 months ago. This release is primarily a feature release with 2 out of the 20 items being addressed being bug fixes and the other 18 being feature requests by current or prospective customers.

The code size of Timesheets MTS has more than doubled in the last year, and I would suggest the feature set has also doubled. More happily bug reports have pretty much stopped. Looking through my email logs I've had 2 bug reports in the last two months. I like it when software is mature and stable.

This release will take the number of outstanding items on the to-do-list for the software down to less than 20 for the first time in a long time. Given that there are no critical fixes to be done I also plan for this to be the last release for 10 weeks. The next release will be V1.5 and will include a complete overhaul of all the internal icons and graphics and I hope a new MS Outlook style side bar explorer for navigation rather than the current top tool bar.
