Not used to Blogging but here goes
![]() |
Hello there Daniweb friends.
i am not used to posting blogs on the web so please bear with me and forward any ideas you have on how I can improve on this to me. All messages will be greatly received and appreciated.
As most of you know I am an oldie on this forum (well I did join in 2005). I have found a great deal of useful information on this forum from other members and this has helped me get to the stage where I am at now.
I am currently studying for my A+, N+ and MCSA 2003 certification and am nearing the exam stages of the A+ hardware exam. I know i am going to pass this exam and it is down to you fellas for helping me gain more knowledge in this field.
I am getting bored with being a Security officer so once I am fully qualified i am going to become a Computer engineer of some description. I love to 'get my hands dirty' dealing with these problems that technology throws at us. If it wasn't for us engineers and trainees technology would be at a standstill. We evoke most of the changes in some way or another.
I have 3 desktop PCs and 2 laptops. Most of the time I know how to rectify the errors that occasionally pop up but IF I'm not sure i will ask about.
Take for example last night... My brothers PC running Vista RC1 decided to encounter a BSOD after he asked me to look into why his PC was switching itslef back on 5-10 minutes after he switched it off. Eventually after an hour of putting the system through memory and hard drive diagnostics tests (none of which showed any faults) I put the error down to a faulty piece of data in the system, repaired the system and is running ok but still has the switching on fault. i think this fault is due to the OS not liking the fact he has a rocker switch on the PSU.
I'm getting the hang of this bloggin larky now.:p
