I would like help "jump starting" development of my app. Will pay $60 per hour to work with me remotely.

First a little background: I was a VB6 programmer for about 10 years (VB3 through VB6) and at about the time .NET became the "next thing" I worked with it for about a month. Frankly I never became competent with .NET, particularly in the area of data access. Then when an opportunity arose to buy a business, I changed careers.

So, I'm no dummy but I'm way behind the times. Anyway, today I own a driving school and I need custom software. My goal is to have a relatively simple app for scheduling and payment history, with data tables for Students, Appointments, High Schools, Instructors, and Payments. "Off the shelf" products won't do because I want to integrate commute-time between appointments. (This is functionality I have already done.) In the initial version all data can be on a single server, but I hope to convert to an "occasionally connected" app later so my phone staff can work from a laptop. (And perhaps you can help when that time comes also.)

I have laid out the data structure and most of the interface components, but what I need is a jump start with this project. I'm accustomed to SQL queries but the new model would take time to learn... Time I just can't afford.

I will pay $60 per hour while you remote-control my PC and talk to me on the phone while together we get some data access examples working, and I can learn to take it from there. The right person must speak clear English, as I have seen a strong accent can slow communication.

I'm estimating 24 to 72 hours of work here. If your resume looks right we'll get started, but if communication isn't working I reserve the right to end our relationship after the first 2 hours, for which I will pay in advance.
